A beach house is a house located on or near a beach, sometimes used as a second home or vacation home for people. Beach houses are often built to undergo high winds and high tide or hurricanes. Popular in the US in Florida, California, Cape Cod, New England, and many more popular vacation sites. Typical features include large sun bathing porches, piers, and boat docks. Beach houses seem to carry the feel of a peaceful escape from reality.
